Toyota Sports Cars: Committed to motorsport

Toyota has been one of the largest and best-known automakers in Japan for several decades. Toyota’s vehicles are known worldwide, due to their reliability, are also very popular in the USA and Europe. It is not least due to the constant new technical innovations and an extremely competitive price-performance ratio that Toyota cars can offer.

The brand with the intricate logo produces well-known sedans, station wagons, and compact cars. It has a weakness for athletics: The model portfolio has always included some very well-known Toyota sports cars, and is continuously improved and performance-optimized.

The Toyota sports cars in detail

Although it was just an offshoot of the Toyota Celica series, the Toyota Supra quickly developed into an independent guarantee of success. Today, it represents the current top model of Toyota sports cars! If you look at the history of Supra, you will also not forget the famous Supra MK IV, which scared the established competition from Europe when it appeared in the early 1990s. To this day, this generation enjoys unparalleled popularity with tuners around the world thanks to its extremely durable drive train! After the Supra had been quiet for a long time, Toyota returned with a bang in 2019: The sports car, now known as the GR Supra, is a joint development with BMW – which provided all kinds of expertise, including the coveted in-line six-cylinder engine and the BMW Z4, so to speak brought the sister car onto the market – and once again has all the properties that make an excellent sports car: rear-wheel drive, low weight and an agile chassis with a perfect weight balance.

Variants of the Toyota Supra

The top model of the Toyota sports car is only available as Toyota Supra Coupé. In addition to the 3.0-liter in-line six-cylinder with turbocharging (Toyota Supra GR 3.0) available at launch, there is also an entry-level version, the Toyota GR Supra 2.0, which has a 2.0-liter in-line four-cylinder with the same charging. The limited model Toyota Supra Fuji Speedway Edition based on the famous Japanese racetrack is also worth mentioning.

How can I drive a Toyota sports car?

There are several ways you can enjoy the benefits of being behind the wheel of a Toyota sports car. In the end, of course, this is primarily a question of budget.

Buy new cars

The sports cars from Toyota are all available as new. In addition to buying from the nearest Toyota dealership, leasing websites have also been established here. Buying a new car is the most expensive option, but it also offers some advantages: You get your Toyota in exactly the configuration you want. The car has the full manufacturer’s guarantee. And, the condition is flawless.

Buy a used sports car

The market for used Toyota sports cars is huge, and the range of corresponding sellers is just as huge: Whether directly from a Nissan dealer, from an exclusive sports car dealer, from a used car dealer, corresponding online portal, or from private sources – the decision is entirely up to the buyer. Buying a used sports car naturally also has the advantage that you can also acquire older, no longer manufactured model series such as the famous Toyota Supra MK IV.

Toyota sports car rental

One variant that has become very popular in recent years is renting a sports car. It has several advantages: You don’t have to spend a fortune to drive your dream car. All costs are already included in the rental price. You can change vehicles with complete flexibility if you feel like doing a new one. And you have no annoying monthly costs that burden you even when financially a little tight.
